ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Through a holistic approach, this experiential learning program not only offers a practical hands-on experience in sustainable food production, but also demonstrates a functioning business model that can be replicated and multiplied.

It is designed for students, community builders and aspiring local food actors with an interest in sustainable and regenerative agriculture

Our goal is to inspire and train a new wave of young change-makers who recognise the challenges within our current food system and want to transform it into a more resilient model.

We are looking for hard working and driven team players who are ready to step into a real-life work experience, and gain the knowledge and skills that will help them create solutions for the future of their communities.

Internship in sustainable agriculture, The Culinary Farmer, Saba Nazarian, Market gardener
Nelson Kunst.jpg

This internship challenges you to step up as a leader, lean on others for support, and take real responsibility—all while contributing to positive change in our food system. We were immersed in the day-to-day work of the farm, while also being trusted with our own responsibilities each week. These are lessons I’ll carry with me far beyond this summer.

GOING BEYOND

Our proven teaching method extends to “learning, doing and teaching” to encourage participants to develop their leadership and teamwork skills. This creates a learning opportunity for interns to step into a leading and teaching role for new students who will later join the team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Please note that our responsibilities in the field are physically demanding (i.e lifting, working in all weather conditions). Students are encouraged to apply for the program ONLY if they feel comfortable with the physical requirements of farming.
